I still have my NauticStar for sale on CL with a few people showing interest. However I have had tons of contact from brokers asking to sell my boat. Some for a fee and some not. Also I saw several at the Charleston BS. Is there anyone on the forum who has used a broker in the past?..Either buying or selling. Just trying to get educated on this option for flipping into an alumnium boat.

Not sure where your boat is at, but there is a place called The Boat Exchange right near the Lake Murray dam that does consignment boat sales. You just leave your boat with them and they will show your boat and provide demo rides for anyone interested.
I don’t know anything at all about how their fees work and have never dealt with them personally, but may be worth checking into.

Sold my sea hunt with Carolina boat brokerage. Told him what I wanted bottom dollar and said if he could get his money on top of that we would have a deal. His commission was 10% well worth it all I did was sign my name and wait for a check after boat was sold. Quick sell would highly recommend you give him a call.

Most of the local dealers offer that service. I went that route when I sold a Key West to buy a Pioneer. Much better than trade in even, with their commission. No hassles and no aggravation. They do everything.

I sold one through Butler Marine and one through Rogue motion.
Butler took a couple months during the summer to sell it, but didn’t charge a commission. They found their money somewhere else.
Rogue motion sold my boat out-of-country in 9 days, and took 10% for a commission. They also fixed the boat up like new before listing it. Somehow I got $1500 more than I was asking on craigslist or boat trader after they took their commission.
Both were a good experience. I would use either of them again.
Great ■■■■■■■■ guys! I will spend some researching further and decided on next steps. Thanks again!

Sold my 21 year old Key West Stealth on Boat Trader.com in a week! Their website was EASY and I was contacted by the main office several times to confirm the ad and when it sold. Best $150 ad I ever placed. You will likely pay more for a " broker " .
