Boat Insurance

Who do ya’ll use for your insurance? A local company or something like BoatUS? I need to get some.

I use Boat US. I have yet to knock on wood make a claim, but I know those who have and they have been awesome for them to deal with.

I don’t have boat insurance with Strickland Marine Ins. (GotchaCovered) but my son has small business ins. with them and they have been great to him. I’m sure there are others here that have boat ins. with them that will chime in. Good Luck.

I shopped my boat insurance back in June and ended up going with Garrison at KSA. He worked the hardest for my business and while the policy I chose was a few percent higher than another other marine agency, and lower than still another, dollar for dollar it was the best policy for my needs. He really worked to win my business, while the others seemed to just go through the motions.

Boat US

I just paid my premium today to Foremost Ins Co. written by my Farm Bureau agent, they were half what Boat US quoted.

I shopped around and went with Garrison with KSA. He was able to give me just what I needed cheaper than anyone out there.

Absolutely Strickland Marine. We have everything insured through State Farm except the boat for a reason. The folks there are great and always helpful. How many national insurers go out of their way yearly to find better rates for their clients? Strickland does.

Use a local company, Boat US is generic and you dont ever know who youre dealing with plus their rates are up with the gulls. KSA has proved, to not just me, they offer competitive rates, work hard and are out for your best, not just the business.

Garrison with KSA.

Strickland Marine for sure. Much better deal than I have had elsewhere.

I forgot to mention another reason I went with boat us is that they cover my boat when I fish tournaments. I found many companies will not cover you during a tournament. So if you plan on fishing tournaments make sure they will cover you during them.

Same here. Lee, Lynn and Jan work for you, not against you like others. Rates they find are usually less than others and in my case for a better policy.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

i tied mine in with my mortgage on my home with farm bureau. it cut my cost almost in half; upped my liability to 1/2 million. covers bow to stern including road hazard; wrecks, props, lower unit etc. i have had coverage with them for a long time and happy with it.

Charter Lakes. Only way to go. They are a broker.
