I know many of you heard about the boat that went down today by the jetties. Just wanted to update everyone and let you know that both passengers are safe. Owner and Founder of HOBA, David Yates saw it all happen from about two miles away and was able to race over to assist them. He got both passengers onto his boat and brought them back to shore safely. Be careful out there everyone!
We went down to Sullivan’s and took a few pictures…
It was rough as heck in the harbor and yet there were people fishing at the Grillage and saw a few boats heading to the Jetties to fish low tide. The wind was howling…not sure it was a good time to be out there.

Heard the CG’s pon-pon on the vhf. Glad that the two people on board were OK. The P&C indicated that they were delivering the boat to a new owner, ran out of gas and drifted into the jetties. Is that what actually happened??

The boat captain better have some good insurance. I bet new guy insurance is going to insist the captain was negligent.

I saw a ton of small cc and flats boats at the grillage they all were battling the wind and waves. I feel like there are better places to fish then to take a beating at the grillage in a small boat.
