Boat mechanic

Hey
Looking for a mechanic to get some advice and possibly fix my cavation problem. Does anyone know a reliable inexpensive guy or place I can take my Jon boat to. From what I have researched it doesn’t seem to be a mount issue because my cavation plate is lined up to the base of the hull as it should be or atleast that’s what I found
Anyway. Any suggestions for our area??
Thanxs

it doesnt really matter where the cavitation plate is in relation to the boat, we use that as a “standard” guide.
what matters most is the position of the cavation plate in relation to the surface of the water at full throttle.
the cavitation plate should be level with teh surface of the water while at full throttle.

is it cavitating, or is it actually ventilating? often we use the 2 terms interchangably, but they are 2 very different things.
most issues are a ventilation problem, or sucking air.

I guess id say it’s sucking air. Soon as I get on plane it slips it sure sounds like its coming out of the water. It’s not cavating in the sense that its rocking the boat. It’s just not able to plane at full throttle

Any chance that the prop hub has spun?
