Boat Painting

I know everything boat related is more expensive, but looking for a ball park estimate to have the hull of a 17’ boat painted. I read somewhere around $150/ft.

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. I know it can be done myself but I’d like to have it sprayed.

It all depends on the prep work involved. You are in the ball park.

People will forget what you said…
People will forget what you did…
But people will never forget how you made them feel.

Like JustinTime said prep work effects costs significantly. Also entire hull or just above or below water line? Believe you are high on your cost estimate unless there is significant prep work. I would recommend touching base with either High and Dry Bostworks/Pura Vida on James Island or Bobby Gelkin with G-crafts in Awendaw. They both use two part epoxy paints, but they use different manufactures let them explain the features and benefits of the products they use. They will want to see the boat to give an exact price, but pics will get you in the ball park.

If it is just the hull, boat wraps run about $12-$14 a sqft.
