Do any of you use a specific outfit for ordering parts. I need to replace my bilge pump and a few other accessories on my Key West 1720. I am aware I can locate some parts at local dealers just wondered if there were any online outlets. Thanks for the time

I think price is comparable to local sources when you add in shipping. Sometimes you can find things used on Ebay. I have done that on smaller items. Just shop around. West Marine seems to be expensive but I usually end up there when I am in the middle of a project and need something.

Depends on what I’m buying, I typically use the local dealers for motor parts, lubricates, and trailer parts.
When it comes to electronics, pumps, fittings, etc. I have typically shopped online. Over the years I’ve always had a love hate relationship with West Marine. They have some really good people working in there that I have gotten to kno over the years that are knowledgeable and extremely helpful and friendly; however, in the past their pricing has been outrageous. I used to feel guilty because I would go in there and research exactly what I needed and then get online and buy it significantly cheaper elsewhere. That has all changed now, they now have a price match guarantee on their merchandise. My understanding and from my experience is they will match anyone’s price with exception of items found on eBay. Granted you are having to pay our local sales tax when you buy there but you’re saving on shipping and typically getting the item the same day. I recently purchased some electronics there as well as a new SW wash down pump and their price already was lower than anyone else’s I could find so I didn’t even have to ask for a price match. Hope this helps!
Yamaha = simyamaha.com
Suzuki = brownspoint
Mercury = Amazon, Ebay (use boats.net for diagram/part number)
Key West = Dealer
Electronics, Power Poles, Trolling Motors, accessories, etc. Hunt down a good price on line then offer the sale to Chris V, CHS Sponsor, or local shop. If they can match or come close it’s a done deal.
West Marine is price matching again.
I also follow other boards (Bass Boat Central and THT) who have sponsors. Sometimes you can find some really good deals. Those boards cater to a larger geographic so the sponsor sections have a lot more activity.
Always check with the boat manufac.
They may suggest an upgrade to the part or other components associated with it
May be able to go by and pick up to save shipping.
West Marine price match is very nice when you can touch it before you buy it.
