Howdy all: just though I would start a post on my boat project, I rescued this boat from going to the dump a few years back a decided it was time to start the over hull . It is I believe a 21 1971 Regal Regency. I plan to replace the transom with Nida-Core from 3M. Other plans include a Armstrong bracket, S/S hard top, not sure if I want twins or a single with a kicker that is still up in the air.

Question: this is the transom cap that I had to cut off , it has a compartment that I think is pretty much useless I was wondering if I should make it a rigging station one half a small live well to have live rigged pitch baits, and the other half a ice cooler to have rigged Hoos and cut baits, as you can see it is one large compartment and glassed and sealed, any suggestions would be appreciated.
