Boat ran aground VA Beach

A good article concerning the unfortunate fate of the boat “Ate Up” that recently broke the VA Blue Fin Tuna state record.

I was 10 miles North of Oregon Inlet that day on the beach with the family. We arrived about 2 o’clock and the fog rolled onto the beach soon after. It was a little spooky not being able to see 50 yds down the beach that time of day due to fog.

More pics here. Bad day when you have to load your boat with an excavator (into a dumpster)…

Amazing how fast the ocean can turn a nice boat into beach trash.

Water is still freakin’ cold up here in VA this time of year, with warm air moving in it produces some crazy fog. Hope to never be out in the boat when it rolls in!

Wow. Before reading, I REALLY wondered how such a boat with all sorts of electronics would run around like that.

However, the article surely cleared that up. Those fellas got pretty lucky.
