Boat registration

I need to send off the registration on the boat I just got but I talked to one of my friends and he mailed his registration almost a month and a half ago and still hasn’t got it back. If I go to the office in Columbia can I get the registration that day instead of mailing it and waiting? It would be worth the little over an hour drive if I don’t have to wait forever

I know you can in Charleston. Give them a call. I talk to those employees all the time.

Thanks. I’ll give them a call.

I always “walk in” at the Columbia office.
The ladies that work there will have you in and out in a flash.
Lot’s better than mailing it in.
If there is any question, you can take care of it right then and there.
Last time I went, I took pictures on my phone, even close-ups of the motor S/N and Hull ID #.
As it turned out the pictures were worth their weight in gold as I was transferring a boat from Virginia.

Thanks that is very helpful because I will also be transferring to my name from another state

Take a picture of the motor s# and hull s#. They will need that. If you cant take a picture then trace it.

I will be sure to do that. Thanks!
