Boat rentals-florida keys

Going down to the keys early next summer for a bachelor party and we are looking at renting a boat down there rather than tow a boat. Have any of yall had any experience doing that and if so where did yall rent from?

What key are you going to. What do you want to do? Offshore/reef/cruise/?

Where? What size boat?

I’ve had good luck with vacation boat rentals. They seem to have the nicest rigs. I’m going with them again in July.

Looking like marathon, offshore in the morning and hit up the bridges for tarpon in the afternoons. awesome thanks flatlander

23-26ft range

A good friend of mine rented a nice 24’ center console in Marathon for a week and the price was reasonable. Then we relocated to Cudjoe Key and they came and picked up the boat, trailered it to Cudjoe and launched it for him there. And picked it up a week later. It was well equipped, GPS, plotter, fish finder, outriggers, everything it needed.

I will send him a text now and ask the company he used and price.

Got a quick answer. This is who he used and was very happy with.

I have been going to marathon every year for over thirty years. Capt pips near seven mile has a few boats that can work for offshore. We tried renting one year. The electronice su***d but overall the boat was fine. If you are only fishing a few days it is worth it. If you want to fish most every day it is cheaper to trailer your own rig from SC. To get to the good spots on the bridge you will need something around 18 or less with shallow draft. If you want to go offshore , to the hump or whatever, you will need something around 20+ with a good v hull.

Just my opinion but I would charter two days off shore and rent a 18 cc and fish the bridge the others.

Wish i was there

Ive used Tropical Boat Rentals in Marathon and was pleased. The boats were well kept without much age on them. The one we had had good electronics, outriggers, livewell, etc,. We had no hiccups with the boat or the company. I would not hesitate to do business with them again. Nice folks also.
