Boat rentals

Hey gang.

Have my family coming to town and they’re looking to get out on the water. Being boatless i usually go out on friend’s boats, but can’t bring the whole fam out like that. So were looking to maybe rent a boat, not looking for a charter. Anyone recommend a boat rental place that won’t break the bank or cost the same as a half day charter?
Thanks

I’m surprised no one has responded to this question yet. I’ll try to give you some info?..may not be too specific but it may help. A loooonng time ago we rented boats for the day out of Bohicket Marina, they may still be there. And I’ve seen ads for a boat rental place that runs out of the City Marina, I think. I know it’s not much but I hope it helps.

The Isle of Palms marina rents boats but I’m not sure on how much per day but somewhere to check into.

$200—300 + fuel depending on the number of people = size of boat 1/2 a day. Google maps!

A 2 hour harbor cruise is $250. You don’t pay for gas and have a local captain driving you around. Or you could rent a boat for about the same amount, be limited in where you can go, and have to pay for gas. IF the whole family wants to fish you have to have a license for everyone, bait, tackle and other hidden expenses that add up fast. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Bohicket Marina out on Johns Island has some boats to rent. Some under 20’ center consoles.
