Boat ?s

What is a good all around boat? Something to take inshore, cruise around, maybe offshore?? I was thinking like a 20 center console would be ideal. Am I right?

what a loaded question!! you’ll probably get responses equal to the number of boat brands available

regardless of all the other responses, Pioneer makes a 197SF, it is the best

Pioneer 197SF

Yeah, I just realized that. I was looking at the Key West 211cc.

+1 After a bunch of research, I went this route. Haven't regretted yet. It has plenty of seating for a 20' CC and won't cost you an arm and a leg if you like to take it out every weekend and just ride around. Even though I spend 90% of time inshore from Beaufort to Charleston hitting the islands, I have been to the ledge and back with no worries. Three guys can fish comfortably in it.

Plus, factory support is second to none.

If you ain’t hooked, you ain’t doing it right.

Oh, the g.f wants it to have a bathroom. Reason why I like the key west 21.

a 19 to 21 foot bay boat is a great all around. I have a 21’ Sailfish Bay and love it. You can find real good buys on Craigslist, just look in different areas. I have a guy at my marina that is selling a 1994 Grady White 22’ with cuddy for $14k.

If you ever have to sell the BM will hold it’s value a lot better than a KW.

have her clean the head after she uses it and she’ll never ask about it again

So true!!

How do you “clean” it? The ones I saw looked like portable toilets?

New and don’t know what to do

I took the porta potti out of both boats i’ve bought first thing just in case someone wanted to use it. I make people either get in or put some water in a five gal bucket and have a seat. Im not cleaning that thing out or having it stink up my boat.

My thoughts exactly.

Key West, Scout, and Pioneer are all owned by the people of the same family and they are local. They make quality products but if you ever have problems you dont gotta go far.
