Boat Storage in MT Pleasant

Can anyone direct me to a storage place in Mt P to store an 18 ft center console boat for realitively cheap?

Thank you

Not sure if it’s cheap or not, but I pay $75/mo at the Mt Pleasant Mini Storage at 1005 Von Kolnitz Rd. near the new East Cooper hospital. Never had any problems.

Carolina Boatyard on hwy 41. It is about 12 - 15 minutes from Shem Creek and Remley Point. I believe it is $65/mo. Fenced in, 24/7 access with security cameras and a washdown area. Also for $10 (I think), you can join the ice club and buy bagged ice for $1.50 after that and it is there on site. I have kept my boat there on and off for the last 2 years. They provide outstanding service, even when you do something stupid like leave something valuable on your boat but don’t think about it until you are 2 hours away. Call and speak to Tracy Kerr.

Thank you. shoot me a phone number if you have it. If not, no worries and thank you for the recomendation 8 )

Carolina Boatyard is 13 miles from Remley’s and 12 miles from Shem Creek.

12-15 minutes is a stretch on a very good day, at 1:00 AM with no traffic, maybe. Not during boating season.

Mt Pleasant Mini Storage. 5 min from Remley’s.

Stowaway Storage of Mt Pleasant. Across 17 from the new Walmart, next to the hardware store. $65 /Month - Gate and cameras. I have been there for 8 years… Now easy to get out, now that it has the new stop light.

You missed my point…12 miles in 12 minutes is 60 mph average, 12 miles in “about” 15 minutes is 48 mph average. You are kidding yourself if you don’t allow 30 minutes travel time for that trip. The trip to the landing early in the AM is also not the point, it’s the return to storage after a long day on the water that is the killer. And then you are further out in no man’s land to begin a long journey home. No worries.

I’ve got my boat there as well…depending on the time of year, it’s hard to get a spot though.

Resurrecting an older thread here:

Wanted to get opinions on boat storage in Mt. Pleasant. Obviously depending on where you live in Mt P, how far would you be willing to drive for good quality, secure storage? Some folks consider near Hwy 41 a bit far out if primarily using Remleys or Shem. Closer in, its tough to make the numbers work if you had to purchase or lease a tract at todays pricing. To me it would also depend on access and easy in/easy out, washdown, security, etc. It appears that the rate for uncovered spaces hovers around $65 to $70 per month. How much would you be willing to spend for non enclosed, but covered storage on concrete pads?
I have some dirt that may work for a medium sized storage facility and trying to gauge the demand.

I used to rent out a covered spot on gravel at Mathis Ferry Self Storage . They gave me a 1 year special at 100/month and moved out when it became 140/month.

To me trailer storage should be about half of what rack storage is.
