I just bought a boat at the boat show 20 ft sea hunt 202 with t top and could really use any recs on where you guys trust to store your boats. I just read the recent post about thiefs in the park west area which is where I was thinking about keeping my new purchase. I hear pretty good things about caroilinas boat yard on 41 but have really havnt had any additional suggestions. Does anyone no of anyone storing at sewwe outpost? Im not looking to spend more than $100 a month so shem creek ect is a bit much…Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated…thanks
call John Burn at Hughes Rental,MtP 881-7368 there is nice fenced lot w/ alarm system adjacent to rental store.Bowman Rd. and I-526 across street from Jack Flash car wash…tell John Mr.Cleveland referred you.
I used Carolina Boatyard last Fall and was very happy. You have 24/7 access, they have security cameras, a washdown area and in the Summer, an “ice club” so you can get your ice right there at a good price. Call Tracy Kerr at 843-971-1812. My 18’ CC cost $65 a month.
Right on Hwy 41 just before you go over the Wando river there is a covered storage yard (next to the BP station). The cool thing about this place is when you store your boat you also get access to the private launch ramp.
Also are you a member of the Club at Dunes West? They also have boat storage behind then gate. They also have a boat ramp that is free with storage.
Joe Sharp is the owner, sorry don’t have is phone number handy. Have had my boat there for years.
thanks guys for the advice…I wish I lived at Dunes, I live in Park West which has no storage or ramp

I checked with him last year and to use the ramp would be extra. No break on the price either. That may have changed.

I’ve seen that storage yard. Always thought that if I sell my piece of cr@p condo at bayclub that I might keep my boat there. Don’t know the price?
Congrats on your new boat. Sweet!

I am also looking for ideas on storage for my 28 mckee craft …As everyone knows, the closer to the ocean the better.

I have stored my boat @ Joes place there @ Hwy 41 and it is very secure. I don’t use the launch often because I want to be closer to open water but a great place non the less. Did launch last year 4th of July and was able to load unload without a wait! Nice having a private launch when on a family boat trip.
Heading there now (HWY 41 storage) to get boat ready for a blackfish run tomorrow AM!

Has anyone considered Rogue Motion on folly road. This is inside storage with a lot of great services offered for just 6 dollars a foot. There are 4 landings with in 10 minutes:smiley:
where are they located.

Hey ssharda, do you happen to know what Joe charges or do you have a phone number. I had really like Carolina Boatyard across the street but I like the idea of having a landing right there.
The landing @ Joes isn’t the best part. I like the 3 sided protection and roof over the boat. My boat stays clean and dry! I have been very pleased with the facility. I believe the cost is $1900 per year for the storage and private launch.
