Boat value

I have a 6x12 enclosed, tandem axled trailer (listed in the classifieds) and listed on Craigs List for some time with no takers. I got a call from a guy in Georgia that wants the trailer, but he wants to trade a boat for it. The trailer is a 2003 Haulmark and worth about 3K +/-. the boat is a 1977, 15’ Boston Whaler (could use gelcote, according to him) with a 1995 49HP Johnson and a 1993 aluminum trailer. The interior of the boat has recent paint and looks ok. The boat could probably be cleaned up pretty good with some elbow grease and time. Any thoughts on the approximate value of a booat, motor and trailer package like this? What say you? Thanks.

Thanks Y4R. I guess I should add that I have the trailer priced at $2500 and have even offered it to potential buyers at $2200.

if you are interested in the boat, and you have a value of $2000 on your trailer, thats a pretty good deal for you.

I persoanlly would never sell a 15 whaler for $2000
the motor is worth around $1500
the trailer is probably worth $400
