Boat Wax?

I am sure it has been asked before, but what is a good wax for a fiberglass center console. Stains are becoming harder to get out and figured it was time to put a thorough cleaning on it and apply a couple coats of good wax that will stand up to the conditions and abuse. I know there are many years of experience in this area on this site!

3M finess it, then a good yellow wax

Starbrite HD cleaner wax is my favorite and is easy to apply.

Collinite Fleet Wax 870.

i have had great success with trewax. especially after a good compound job

2nd the Collinite. Easy to put on and lasts a long time. Can’t say how long since it’s still holding up from a springtime waxing.

Rejex is pretty impressive. Hull cleaner than Rejex. Very easy to apply and really does last longer than wax

Very interesting stuff, hull cleaner then apply a couple coats of Rejex? Can you wax on top of Rejex or is that not needed? I saw not to apply Rejex on top of wax because it will come off with the wax.

I also would recommend the Collinite, I use it on every boat I do. I use the Collinite No. 885, its a paste, West Marine in West Ashley usually has it in stock, the Mount Pleasant store can order it. Might want to use a light compound or fiberglass cleaner before applying wax to remove any oxidation.

MaGuire’s for boat…and Woody wax for non-slip surfaces…The woody wax does not leave a slippery finish. Put it on with your wash brush, let it dry, and hose off

Thanks to all for the great advice!
