I recently bought a 1992 STARCRAFT STARCASTER 1700, it is built like a BASSTRACKER PRO 17 aluminum and put my 60hp Johnson on it. It comes out of the hole ok and runs ok until it sets the bow down, when it sets the bow it plows to much, meaning the spray comes out way forward making for a wet ride, when you trim the engine the bow stays down even if you trim to cavitation, even plowing the way it does it is still running 30mph by the GPS. What can I do to fix this, the only thing I have found so far is to put 3 large bodies in the back.
since its an aluminum boat, you need to check the hull to see if its somehow deformed causing “hook”, kinda like built in trim tabs
