Boat wont fire

I have a 1998 evinrude 90hp v4. I let it sit for about a month and went to run it the other day and it will not turn over. It starts to crank but just wont fire. I had a fully charged battery so i know it was not that

You check your safety kill switch? Pull a plug
And verify you have spark. Keep it simple to start with

Hope you get it.

The battery could have a bad cell even if it shows it is charged. Might want to have it tested.

if its spins normally but wont run, its not a batter issue
evinrude kill switch, unlike merc and Yamaha, will allow the engine to run without putting on the kill switch

its pretty common for those motors to allow the fuel to run out of the carb bowls, then they fill with oil from oil tank, and its very hard to get tehm to start.
hold the key switch down(choke) the entire time you are trying to start it
if it acts like its going to start and runs a second or 2 and shuts off, keep trying, it will flush out the oil, and smoke like crazy and then clear up.

if that doesn’t work, then you have to start the diagnostic process
