The latest Quantum reels particularly the Cabo have gotten great reviews. I’m not familiar with the particular model that your referring to but one thing to keep in mind for heavily slashed reels is are they discontinued and are parts going to be available in the future. It’s no deal if the first time it breaks, it can’t be fixed. Call quantum and check to see if they will be offering parts for this particular model for some time, before you jump.I am going through the process right now of returning a newly purchased ptsd cabo model because I found that they won’t be making any more parts for the reel, and when they run out, they run out. It’s the old model. The newer version ptse will have replacement parts for some time. Just something to keep in mind, parts.
