Bonnethead Shark Fun!

Looking for some quick inshore action for any skill level, quick trip out, catch a few for family fun before you have to take the kids swimming at the sandbar for the rest of the day…? Bonnethead Sharks offer great inshore action this time of year and are fun for everyone. From my charter clients to myself and my family. They are pretty much big redfish with teeth. They eat about the same stuff, swim in the same areas… They are sure to please with some drag screaming action on the inshore tackle. Nothing fancy here, just a carolina rig or under a heavy duty cork. Make sure you tie on some good fluoro leader (at least 30lb test), 2/0-3/0 circle hook and you are set. Targeting these fish around the deeper edges of productive inshore flats and holes. Shrimp and Blue Crab always get em’! Tight lines!

Oh yeah , I tell people how fun it is to catch a four foot fish in two feet of water .

For the fight, you can’t beat em. Quick n easy action. Shoot, you can even sight fish these rascals! Ive even gotten em on fly. Great fish to target for some drag screaming fun that anglers overlook a lot of times.

i grew up fishing for these on the kiawah river. for a quick and easy fight, these cannot be beaten

Anything that pulls drag, right?
