Weather looks unbelievable for the next week or so. I looked at the long range forecast, and the temperatures are supposed to be above average until Christmas and possibly beyond. Inshore fishing is at its peak, so if you have had reservations about going this late in the year, disregard previous years. We have much great fishing ahead!
Going out tomorrow!

so i went trout fishin saturday…
1st drop, steepish shell rake that used to have em this month. nothing.
move up 200 yards, tiny eddy behind a point, incoming tide, water coming over the point with the shell rake disrupting the current. you know the deal. throw in there, count it down. touches down on 6 count. good, that’s the dept i wanted. 1st cast, bam. ain’t pulling right…20" bass. 15 more casts into same spot the size of a small car yield 8 more bass 18-22". not what i was looking for, but fun.
move, keep hunting trout in the incoming spots. find trout, but they are scattered, real scattered, no more that 2-3 off one point. i fish points on incoming, creek mouths on outgoing.
about 2/3 of my incoming spots where i used to get trout have no trout, but the bass are stacked up in the slack water behind many of those points.
ended up with about equal number of trout and bass, 35 ish fish. 1/2 on minnowz 1/2 on trouttricks
this was in opti’s stripper area. no big trout.

There is something about a guy whining about catching reds instead of trout that just chaps my behind. Boo Hoo, I can’t catch any trout. Come on Pea.

I’d rather catch trout 20 inches than reds 20 inches.

I’ll be out on Friday. Can’t wait. Weather looks great.
it hurt to drive over the crosstown knowing I was heading to a building with no windows for the next 8 hours.
10% of the people catch 90% of the fish.
Of course next week is exam week! I’ll be inside studying all day…
