I think you are calling someone else out, here, not me. I think you are thinking of DandG of the whole shortbus incident. But, yeah, I wear skin tight jorts only when Im crewing with SkinneeJ…in fact, he requests it.

Jorts are mandatory on my boat. We are in a center console. Not only do they look incredibly cool, but if they are snug, then they are more aerodynamic and cut down on wind resistance. We calculate that if an entire crew of 5 people wear Jorts per trip, you are looking at a fuel cost reduction of about 1 gallon per trip. That might not sound like much, but at $4.29 a gallon times about 25 trips per year is $107.25 per year. If you were to take that cash and put it in an S&P index over a 30 year period to collect compounding interest, you are looking at a total of $25,343 in fuel savings. That’s the cost of Lone Ranger’s tackle box. So, you can bash Jorts all you want, but they are here to stay…
Also note that if you actually cut the frizzy ends off of the bottom and shave your legs that you can get about an extra 0.05 gallons in fuel economy per trip. It’s something to think about…
