Went off 30 miles with waves two to three feet. Wasn’t too bad but when we got out to our spot we were constantly on em. We moved to our other spot and we didnt catch anything and there were monster cudas all around so we left.
So we moved back to our first spot. We used cut fish like rock sea bass and spot and also used squid. Hooked up into porgy, black bass, rock sea bass, vermillion, dog snapper and cobia. They were all good keepers and the cobia was about 35 lbs. The Cobia was caught on a butterfly jig with a peice of cut squid on it.
After we gaffed it and brought it in the boat it chased us around the whole center console and we had to rope down the cooler cause it kept poppin it open. So after a good day of fishing we loaded up the boat and started home. On the way a guy stopped us and told us that our axle was smokin. So we stopped geased it up and limped back home.
