forums are for asking questions, looking at posts, getting ideas and gaining knowledge about the topic. fb was asking questions to gain knowledge. where else are people supposed to learn besides actually going out on the water? forums like cf.com

Not trying to point fingers but you're kinda acting like the admin in your post....I understand FB is just trying to gather info but when someone is keeping a thread going page after page with BS that has nothing to do with "gathering fishing insight", it gets old. Especially when there are new people like myself , not an alias, who would rather not have to wade through all the chit just to get the info we need!!!
Having said that, because FB asks so many redundant questions, all of us new guys don’t have to be the ones looking, and sounding, like the village idiot. Kudos to your fine prospecting work FB, keep it up…no hate intended.

Not all see it this way…Some think I’m an idiot, some think I have 0 seamanship, but these that don’t ask questions and think they know it all will find out the hard way in the long run. Do you think Sellsfish, Phin, EF, SJ, Courtland, etc became the fisherman they are today by trial and error and never taking anothers advice or secret #'s…I highly doubt it. “YES” i’m sure they learned a lot on their own but I’m VERY SURE that a lot of knowledge came from 1. “their parents/family” or 2. Fishing with other great fisherman over a long period of time.

I did not state that I knew it all. I said I was new. I read CF.com to get info. However, just because me or someone else does not ask the “dumb questions” to get that info (due to our excellent reading and comprehension skills), does not mean we are know-it-alls. We just choose to read, learn and not post unnecessary garbage.
Yeah, some people think you’re an idiot. That’s what happens when you post some of the ridiculous things you do. Try sounding more educated and re-read your posts before your trigger finger hits the send button.
I’m also willing to bet that most of the guys you listed didn’t go around posting, and acting, like they’re better anglers than every other bloke on CF.com. Just some food for thought…have a good one.
If that was the case do you really think I would ask these questions? If I was a better angler I wouldn’t have to ask these pro’s for tips…I ask to increase my knowledge. You’ll find out one day that you might have wished you asked that all important question when the time is needed. Just like posting about going to the ledge and getting pounded about being stupid for doing so…BUT in the process I get a lot of responses about what I need on my boat, how to take on different situations to be safe etc… “knowledge”, “learning”, learn how to take advantage of every situation to make you more aware of situations and opportunities when they arise
