Bottom bumping on Aquatic 12/20

Went out saturday to 70 ft of water. Forcast looked sweet, actual conditions, not so much!!! Seas were in the 4 ft range and you were lucky to see any pattern let alone a 10 second interval.
Had a great time with a fun crew. BSB bite was strong. We had a couple of lines up off the bottom with cigar minnows hoping for a stray grouper but he never showed. Plenty of meat in the cooler though, and a good time was had by all.

that’s a nice bsb and trigger…all others are fairly sized also! Looks like a great day.

Saw your boat and crew out there yesterday. We were in the Scout 221, about 100 yds or so from y’all. Same story for us. Much rougher seas at 4+ feet then forecast, but managed to bag about the same number of BSB as you.

When we first got there we were the only boat and saw birds diving like crazy and what we thought was a huge shark’s fin. We pulled up to investigate and it was a huge, goofy looking sunfish.

Good to here that you bagged some fish. If you do not mind what time did you arrive and depart from that location?

how many were fishing on your boat yesterday? Was that your whole load 10 fish? How long were you there? I spent over 8 hours fishing one day and slick seas and brought home 10 fish…it was a fun trip just didn’t get to fill the freezer like I wanted

Good look’n fish! remember it could have been better, you could have been moving family…AGAIN! hate to repeat myself but…maybe next time. sometime soon though. I’ve had to resort to drinking salt water to prevent from drying up!

Aquatic,

We got to the spot at about 10 a.m., right after the 20 m.p.h. wind and rain finally stopped. We rode out at about 1:15, and the bite stopped right before high tide.

Don’t worry island, I don’t know if the next trip is going to be inshore or offshore but your definetly in. We had a great time on aquatic. If we had a bigger crew we could have surely caught more fish.

Gotcha, know how that is…That’s my plan for the next trip, throw back the 12", keep only the fatty 13" and then all 14" and above…Thanks for answering the question though.

Glassy, shut up! Why do you feel you have to respond…if you had a memory long enough to remember what you read 3 posts above then you would have saw my congrats on the fish!..Was just wondering if the bite was slack or a short day

Jort Boy - I know what you mean, those fatty 13 inchers are true daymakers.

who are you newby? When you go out in search for a limit of c-bass and you have to sort through 100 bsb under 12", yep, the 13+" bsb are quite the day makers…

Where’s your fish? Any reports for us? Pictures that you didn’t find surfing the web?

do you have any reports? all that i have seen are pictures of baitfish, jean shorts, and a goat.

Florida Boy… “Newby”? your such a bada$$ because you have made so many posts on charleston fishing. i really wish I could have your awesome charleston fishing status, what a cool guy.

LOL. That’s all. Oh yeah, hope you all had a great holiday.

Come on FB, stop sorting through the bsbs and find something else like maybe a grouper or a snapper. And I dont know why you’de throw back a 12 inch bsb the younger ones eat better in my opinion, ide keep the 10in ones if i could

Lets play a game…we’ll call it Rack Em Up.

The goal is to reply to EVERY thread and ask as many obtuse questions as possible, state the obvious, tell stories about fishing trips that don’t include photos of fish, post pictures of baitfish and act like a 40 year fishing expert.

The poster with the most unnecessary, interminable posts in the least amount of time will win a CharlestonFishing.com Most Vigilant Poster trophy, go on an excursion with the renowned guide, FB and…oh wait…this just in… What? We have a winner!!!
Never mind…contest over! FB is off to the jetties…
