The weather finally broke and Whalure invited us to do a little Bottom Bumping on his new (new to him) Boston Whaler. We
(Whalure, Reel Therapy, Steve and John) left Sullivans Island around 8:00 and headed to some spots about 6 miles out of the jettys. We quickly got into the BSB and caught several nice fish. After about 2 hours, we decided to push out a little further to see if we could find some snapper or grouper. We went to some #'s that a friend had given us and we quickly hit the vermillion. We caught at least 25 and kept 8 nice size snapper. Before we headed in, we put out the trolling lines to see if we could find a wahoo or king. We trolled for about 45 minutes without a strike so we decided to head to the hill. When we were pulling in the lines, the right long rigger took off and we had a fish on!! It was a 15# king that finished the day. We ended the day with cooler full of 30+ BSB, 8 vermillion snapper and 1 king. Whalure, thanks for the great day on the water and for inviting us on your maiden fishing fishing voyage. The Slap Happy II is a fishing machine!!
Nice job.
