Decided not to troll today but still couldn’t get away from the mahi. Tagged 2 for Don Hammond. Kept some that were too big or too hooked to release. Pulled a bunch of stuff off the bottom and recycled some imported stuff!

Nice looking bunch of triggers, but those are some seriously little dolphin. I’m guessing those are the ones that took the hook too deep. And what’s the deal with the ring-tail at the top of the picture?

Can we get a grouper expert on the site to identify the one on the bottom right? Looks too short and fat to be a gag.
Hard to say for sure, the picture is at a bad angle… Warsaw?? Maybe it is a fat gag. Close up shots are hard to tell because there is no real size reference i the background. If not a gag i am guessing Warsaw?

make all the jokes you want to, but those ringtails are fine table fare for a pan fish. Plus, if you are catching ringtails, you are over grouper! Never met a dolphin to small to eat! nice catch.

Thanks Sells. I’ve about stopped posting because of people like this. I’ll bet not one of them has ever seen a warsaw. Admin needs to make a sticky on rules of a fishing report. I know some of them. #1 If posting weight, no pic. #2 if posting pic, no weight. #3 No more than 1/2 a legal limit in a pic. #4 all fish must be large for the species. Does anyone know the rest of the rules? I don’t know if you have to have a minimum number of post or not to make a report. Thanks, KP

Yeah man, good report! I agree with Sells about the mahi, all are good to eat! In alot of fish, the smaller ones taste better.

Ah, must be the fall abuse season since obviously no one is actually fishing. The grouper is a warsaw, 23 lbs…
It hit a shimano butterfly jig in 200’ and from there to the grill at 375 degrees. The beeliners went into the fishbox after the groupers and decided to snuggle in their mouths on their own…amused the hell outta me when we pulled them out for cleaning. Yeah, some of the mahi are on the small side but were too badly hooked to tag and release
or bring back live for the aquarium so they got eaten. Oh, and that ringtail thing, my bad, I thought it was a swordfish; it sure tasted like one.

I can’t imagine what it would be like to fish and get heckled at the same time. All the heckling must be horrible for the victim!!! I can’t even imagine how damaging it is for the human psyche!!! If someone heckled me, I would probably cry about it like a grown man or woman should do. I think that you should be required to take sensitivity training before being allowed to post on this forum…
