Bottom catching 7/29

As usual one of our boys overslept, but we pushed off around 7:20am. Rolled out at 37mph to a secret hole about in 100’ and released a few nice ARS one weighing around 25lbs. Thankfully all of them went down after venting. Picked up one nice gag around 17lbs on the scale. Bite went to pot so we moved out to 200’ and proceeded to make a 4 man limit of gags and scamps in no time. Farmfeed Randy almost dropped his testicles on the floor with a monster AJ, and metal man brian put on a grouper clinic catching almost all the big fish.

Ended the day with:

3 released ARS
2 gags biggest a hair under 20lbs
10 scamps biggest 18lbs
75 ajs
30 porgys
5 atlantic sharpnose
1 hammerhead

Pics coming soon

37 mph in this crap?

Only in one of your boats.

Quartering? Head? beam? following?

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!

Impressive like usual with the boat riding and fishing

running out was a beam sea, moved to another spot was a following for about 20 miles, then ran out to the 200’ was beam again. Once we got out to 120’ it got rougher, but we kept on rolling. Coming home was a quarting head sea we ran around 32-33mph then picked it up to 40 for the last 25-30 miles. I heard the motors bark once the whole day and that was when I ran her up to 48 on the way in for a mile or two. She got up on top really nice, but the sets were very confused so it required some driving and I was enjoying drinking my cold beverage, so we backed her down.

We never anchored all day… every hole I went to the wind and current was running parallel. So I motored in reverse the whole day. You know me, I dont like anchoring if I dont have to.

The “little green bucket” I like it.

show off! I need another hat, the clip broke on mine.

Billy,
You’re observation matches ours. We haven’t done squat in shallow water in the last 2 weeks. Fish are definitely moving out. Was your catch in 200 exactly or approximately?
