Has anyone coated an aluminum boat with bed liner or something similar. if so what is the best product. thanks
Herculiner
Put in my fiberglass boat…its great
100.00 a gallon and comes in white
Woodfloats?
I used U-Pol Raptor this past January. It is a tintable, spray-in bedliner kit that comes with the spray gun. If you have a compressor, you can do it yourself. Sherwin-Williams auto paint store on Montague. $150 for a gallon. Goes on even, goes on quickly. I did my whole 14ft dura-craft, floor and 6" up the walls and had 1 qt leftover. I had it sprayed in about 30 minutes. 99% of your time is in the prep.
I did herculiner in my Jeep about 8 years ago. Only comes in black and that gets hot, which is why I went tintable (OD green) for the boat.

I have a 1969 14 ft v hull oauchita that i rhino lined inside and out and it has zero leaks now and its very quiet. it is like a brand new boat. highly recommend although it is a little pricey.
I just did my jon boat with a product called durabak. It is much like herculiner but comes in colors. I used tan, grey, and green did a camo pattern. I got the stuff off the internet. You can rollit, brush it or spray it. I brushed it. It is self leveling and has ground rubber in it (great non skid and quieted the boat some). I also took the hull to fields ornamental metal and had them weld some 1\4" aluminum angle on the ribs on the bottom where hull hits the landing when you pull up great and it also added a little weight nin the bow so it planes a little faster. If you pay someone to spray and then have to have it grind off so you can do a weld repair it ain’t so great. Do it yourself have fun with the pattern its a jon boat it ain’t supposed to be pretty. mines name is “fugly”
Got a few drips on some rivets on a 81’ Duracraft. Just popped the motor off and got her resting on blocks pondering the next move, so I hopefully won’t have to go thru this for a while. Did you’ll roll the bottom also?
Any suggestions would be very helpfull. Thanks.
