Took advantage of the weather today and set out for a bottom fishing trip. A bit sloppy in the am, but got better later in the day.
Brought back numerous bsb, triggers, vermillion, etc. Had to throw back 7 very nice ARS, all vented and swam away.
The biggest trigger was weighed in at Haddrell’s earlier today…11.05 pounds on the digital scale.
Thank you. Just wish we could keep those ARS. 4 of them were probably in the 30 pound range, the rest probably low twenties. Hope they open up the ARS fishing for at least a few weekends like previously.
Great job. 11 lbs! Must have felt like pulling up a car door. We hope to get out next weekend. What was your water depth and were the triggers suspended in the water column off the bottom? Any possible grouper break offs? I just got this colored line (verify braid) so Im really interested in paying more attention to specific water depth for each species. If anything, it will be fun to play around with.

Thanks. My husband caught it, there was an ARS on the other hook, probably around 20 pounds, so he had fun with all that.
That trigger was caught off the bottom, but we saw a few triggers come up with them.
Did catch grouper also, only had one breakoff all day, don't know what it was.
We fish anywhere from around 85 to around 150 feet, pretty much like everyone else, I guess.
Well, I don’t know what I did any different between trying last night and now, but they seem to be uploaded. That is Chris with the trigger, and Chris and me with one of the ARS.
