Bottom fishing Braid/Fluoro

Whats everyone’s go-to knot regarding adding a short topshot of mono or fluoro leader to the braid for bottom fishing? Have heard Reverse Albright or Red Phillips a lot, need to practice both. I would prefer to use fluorocarbon obviously compared to mono, as long as it has enough stretch to prevent the pulled hook problem. I’ve even heard fluorocarbon stretches more from some companies compared to mono though… I do know the leaders are supposed to be short, so you don’t lose the benefit of the braid, say 10-20ft or so? Ready to see the difference bottom fishing!

Uni to uni is what has worked for me.

x2 on the Uni to Uni.

Albright … Uni to Uni would depend on diameter

Crazy Alberto, albright, uni all work when tied properly.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I always use a Surgeon’s knot. Double up the braid. Very easy to tie.

I use spider hitch to uni to uni with snail stuff like 20 lb to 20lb but Albright with anything bigger.

spider hitch or surgeons to double short section of braid to a bristol or no name not, do that for nearly everything except trout fishing these days.

Thanks for the replies guys! Looks like I got some figuring out to do. Mainly will be 65lb braid to roughly 50-60lb. fluoro.
