Bottom Fishing on the Miss Amanda 16/08/11

Met up with Lynnmcd and Kut08 to go out and chase some bottom fish.

We left Shem at about 11:30 pm on the 15th. Got to our first spot to hopefully chase some b-liners. Limited out in no time at all. Caught two nice AJ’s and a Pinky or two at this spot as well.

Went to the Edisto Buoy to catch bait then to our next spot where we found the mother load of Triggers about 10 feet off the bottom. Fished them until the bite was gone. Also hauled up some BSB’s here.

Went to our third spot and finished our limit on BSB’s and caught some more Pinkies. Caught two nice extinct ARS’s here as well. One was over 20 lbs. on the scale.

Called it a day at 5 pm on the 16th. Went to the hill with 15 Vermillion, 15 BSB’s, 24 Triggers, and 3 Pinkies.

your title is disturbing…

I don’t know what happened there. I was in such a rush to get to Lynn’s to help clean up that I wasn’t paying attention I guess. Thanks for the catch.

I will require the numbers for that triggerfish spot please

The Miss Amanda strikes again! Adam, thanks for posting that report for him. From what I hear he’s been fishing and catching so much that his wrist hurts too much to type anymore! Hopefully, it won’t hurt his ability to hold a rifle and pull the trigger as he likes fresh venison almost as much as fresh trigger.

“The problem that infuriates you the most is the one you are meant to solve.”

Lynn has put me and numerous others on MANY fish this summer … Thank you buddy. Glad yall had a safe productive trip.

Hey Jordan. They were all Lynn’s numbers. You’ll have to take that up with him. LOL!! It was almost like cheating because we anchored right over the echo’s of triggers we were seeing. Just kept our bait 10 feet off the bottom and that was it.

G2G and Jazzed. Lynn, as always is gracious host and the Miss Amanda sure does not disappoint. It certainly is a shame to have someone who loves to fish have wrist issues. But man is he a trooper to do what he does, with his physical condition. That is a dedicated man right there. His passion certain shows. I’m grateful for each chance I get to fish with him.

Thanks, Guys, for the kind words!
We do not ever set any records on the Miss Amanda, but we sure have a lot of fun!

Yeah, those triggers were fun to catch. I know we threw back a bunch of the smaller ones. I was hoping the fish gods would pay us back with a grouper or several, but no go. Next time…

Thanks again Joisey Boys for another fun trip!!!

PM me your info. I have to warn you, though, there is no comfort on the Miss Amanda! She is a small, rough and WET bote, but we have fun anyway!! I always say that if I want comfort, I can stay home in my La-Z-Boy, I go to fish…

I’ll tell everyone this . . . . what the Miss Amanda lacks in comfort, dryness, and smoothness she MORE than makes up for with getting fish into the boat. The Miss Amanda surely does not disappoint. Lynn is a great host and knows his stuff. I’m always glad for the chance to fish with him and Kut. Looking forward to doing it again guys.
