Went south on my buddy’s 23 Contender for some bottom fishing. Had a great time except for the time during the day when genius in his Boston Whaler pulls up and anchors right next to us. There wasn’t another boat within miles. It’s a pretty big ocean so learn some manners and buzz off next time.

I’ve had some great bottom fish trips anchored next to other boats. Sometimes I’ve waved them in and sometimes they have waved me in. More lines in the water, more activity, more fish. That being said… sometimes I’ve driven on and sometimes I’ve wished they would drive on. Attitude means everything.

There was a guy with a kid out there Sun. that was fishing close to us. They didn’t seem to be catching alot so I was trying to get a good mess of fish then I was going to tell him to take over the spot but he left before I could get to em. Oh well, maybe they had a cooler full already.
He had his boat name plastered on the side of the boat which I could post but I’m not trying to single anyone out b.c some people just don’t know any better. I’m trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope that he won’t do it again.

Thanks Young had a great time out there…the whaler (Hooker II) needs to learn some manners but I suspect he had on hellova ride home, so he paid some. Thanks for posting the pics…when we going again?

Looks good! I need to quit with the striper for a bit and get in on the action out there. I usually make only a couple of bottom fishing trips a year anyway. If I find a buddy or two, I might go Wednesday.
