went out today hit black banks and some live bottom. Caught a ton of BSB,one endangered red snapper couple of red porgy’s a bunch of B-liners and some white grunts. wasn’t sure if the vermillions had a season so they all went back. Are the grunts and vermillion good to eat? Also had some annoying sharks and one big boy take a cruise next to the boat not sure what kind? Can’t wait to get out again…Catch um up…Mike
Vermillions are back in season now. They were “off-limits” but are back on now.
They are very good to eat. We like to fillet them and grill with the skin on. They need to be 14" or so to make a decent sized fillet. Grunts will make a good fish fry.
