Bottom Fishing

I do mostly inshore fishing and fish out of a 19 ft. pathfinder, which wouldn’t do amazing bottom fishing nearshore or offshore fishing.

I have a brother in town, from Colorado, for the next week and would love to get him out bottom fishing. Any chance anyone is heading out during the next week and he and I could jump in with you? I’d be more than happy to throw in on gas $, ice, food, drinks, etc. Thanks in advance!

On good days your 19 should be fine especially for the nearshore reefs.

Really?! I’m new to anything beyond the jetties so what type conditions would be ideal for my 19’ bay boat? (What wave size, time between waves, etc)? Sorry if that’s a stupid question but I don’t want to get in over my head. Pun intended

1-2’ with winds less than 10 mph. Look for a period of 8 seconds or longer

agree with Paul ^ buddy boat if you can and right now the weather isnt as volatile as it is in the summer but dont let anything get between you and the hill with that boat!

light and variable winds… winds 5 knots or less makes for a calm ocean,
