Left after sun up which was good due to the fog and the nasty hangover I had from the late game night libations of those fancy high gravity beers I scored. Go Dawgs…
Had Kingstree Bill, One of his buddies, Pops, and Spike… Spike is a madman…
Had a ton of live bait. Fog lifted as we broke the Stono. Fished in 80 - 100’ South. Saw at least 5 sailfish free jump and had one hit the flatline and throw the hook. I bet it was not 15 lbs. Also had 2 schools of dolphin around the boat. Smallish fish, but hooked 5 or so. Let them go.
The pinkies were thick. We got a limit on them and easily released 40. Also had a nice mess of triggers including one that was close to 4 lbs. Plenty of BSB’s… a few grunts nice sized grunts and beeliners.
Kingstree Bill’s buddy hooked a Tiger Shark…Small one, 5’ or so, but big enough to **** up three lines. Also, Sharpnoses were popular.
Got one snake king on the flat line…
I lost a nice grouper due to the cirlce hook burying in the pinfish instead of the mouth of the fish… I did get a nice red grouper and Pops got a stud red grouper… 36" and I am sure it was over 20 but I did not weigh it…it was fat. Spit up a peice of octopus and a whole, semi-digested toadfish.
WX was perfect. Took us 40 minutes to get back to the Stono which was nice. Done cleaning and swimming in the pool drinking beer by 6:30…
Oh, we also got 3 big donkeys and a bunch of small ones. Neighbor got himself a mess of AJ steaks…
This is not a chawade…
We need total concentwation…
