Who do y’all like or recommend for bottom painting with ablative (not hard) paint

I’d check with the big yards down here first. Charleston City has done mine the past 2 years and I work with Ross Marine a good bit. Both are very competent and professional operations. I know Pierside does them too, although I’ve never personally been involved with them on bottom work. I would imagine their product and service rates are all pretty similar. It might come down to location convenience and scheduling.
I trailered my 21’ cc up t Gcraft in Awenday. Right on Hwy 17. They did a real pro job. 1st time the bottom was ever painted, they nailed the waterline just right. It was a couple of years ago but I think it was $600 for 2 coats of ablative. They’ve done nice fiberglass/gelcoat repairs for me in the past so I figured I’d give them a shot. I live in Northern MTP so very easy for me to gt it up there.
Interlux Pacifica. No copper, no corrosion issues, no environmental issues, no barnalces, litte bit of slime at the waterline at end of season. Hose off. If you poewer wash, your washing your dollars away. Lite scrub is all that is needed with one of those green Scrotchbrite pads.
Bluewater paints has the same thing as Interlux for alot less (patent of Econoca ran out), but most boatyards haven’t started carrying it. Alot cheaper (no real advertising machine like Interlux), but hard to find. Special order if you do.

G & W boatworks would be more than happy to give you a hand. Boats that have never had bottom paint will cost $20/ft plus paint. If it has been previously painted cost would be $15/ft plus paint, given bottom is fairly clean. Meaning no hard barnacle growth. Both ways include 2 coats of bottom paint. We use Pettit primer (4700) and paints(ultima or Trinidad). We are located in west ashley and can gladly transport your boat.
