bottom time

95 ft deep. Found a spot looking around…Loded up on nice sea bass, triggers, B liners, scamps and this gag. I think I need a new freezer.

Nice gag! Looks damp out there. If I wasn’t on call, we would have been braving the storms.

Nice. I wanted to go but the storms made me decide to stay home. Nice to see a new report.

nice report thanks
We were out friday to calm seas and decent bottom fishing.

Saturday was great. Super flat and bottom bite was on fire. Grouper under 90’ and 5man limit b liners. Also some nice triggers and bsb.

Glad ya’ll made it out, nice fish! A little rain never hurt a fisherman!

We were very fortunate in having no rain offshore. We left at 5 am and were back at 1 pm and the first bit of rain encountered was in the pass on the way back. The seas were perfect even with the rain and best of all never saw any lightning.

Nice haul. We bailed out due to forecasted thunderstorms which never came. Kicking myself.

24.5lbs
Looked up the Gag state record and its right around 50lbs so nothing historical. Been eating grouper all week! BTW, Im always looking for folks to go out of Bluffton area. Just send me a PM and Ill keep you on the list.

That's a nice one from that depth. Congrats!

We caught 4 gags on Saturday in 90ish ft, every one came up 20inches or less. Releasing a grouper is a very sad thing to have to do…can almost taste them as they swim away haha.

Don’t mean to poop in the punch, Triggers are closed!

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

I don’t think so, ACL not met yet.

Where did you get that as I may be wrong?? 12" size now I believe.

Hard to keep up for sure:angry:!

EDIT; after looking further,SAFMC site refers to this for catch data…

Never seen this (NOAA) site before, pretty amazing stuff they come up with!

Thanks,

Only COMMERCIAL trigger is closed… REC seems to be open, but with new size limits in place…
