Bowfishin Cuda

Is it legal? The shipping channel is loaded with some large cuda already this year. Can they be legally stuck with bowfishin gear?

What will you do with them once you kill them?

Give them to me; I’ll come pick them up.

Shark bait, crab trap, possible redfish cut bait. I know they use them in the keys regularly for shark chum. I’m going to try it out

TRS–you should have said catch and release only, ha!

Pat Condon

As TRS said, they’re fantastic bait for sharks and crabs so if you do end up shooting them, make sure you pass them along to someone to use, as opposed to kill and release as some people do.

Something will eat them anyway. I do generally live by the "if you kill it, eat it" philosophy, but I also believe that if you harvest from one end of the spectrum (prey) that you have to remove from the other end of the spectrum (predators) as well to maintain a healthy balance. There is generally always a healthy balance between predator and prey in nature, until man steps in.
