Box of fish!

Went looking for some new numbers.Ended up with 15 Red Grouper, 15 Mangroves and some nice Hogfish. 100’viz in 100ft. Highlight of trip was a 200lb+ Goliath taking one of Realfish01’s snapper away from him and my son fighting an epic battle with another Goliath after it took his snapper with a spear in it from him under a ledge. The Goliath had dinner snatched from him by a very determined Marine. Will post that video when it is edited. A great way to start another diving season with a great crew. Thanks to Pepe for the numbers!

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

good shooting. got any more pics of the tank rack by any chance?

Nice bag! I’m guessing you were diving south of SC?

nice goin ed! everythin ok on the truck?

Those hogfish are really cool looking. How do they eat (taste)?

They have been caught in Port Royal Sound and are on the occasional patch of live bottom off Hilton Head.

Yes

Thanks…

We do have Goliath in SC Gut Wrench, not many but we have seen them diving here. The Hog fish is one of the best eating imo as they eat Lobster and Crab. We were a good bit south but I get Hammered for diving to much in SC so we hit some numbers in Fla were their are only a few divers! A few miles short of the middle grounds SC Diver, we were only 35 miles offshore.
Elbows and other joints on this rack are furniture unions and have to be ordered. The tank brackets are from West Marine. can be made bigger but will hold 8 tanks and 8 Spear guns. Very light weight.

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

Thanks for the pics.
That’s nice. Someone put some thought into that one.
I have to build a tank rack for the cabin on my boat. May use that for “inspiration”.

They are definitely here, just not in the numbers that you see them in Florida. There is one that resides on the Y-73 (seen him quite a few times) and I have also seen one on the Robinson wreck at 4KI.

I was thinking of the one at the Y-73.
He’s sort of a celebrity. That’s the only one I have ever seen but then I don’t get to dive as often as lots of other people on this site.

I know a fella that could make that out of aluminum tubing.

Let me make a phone call…

Bug Catcher enjoy the SC haters… It drives them nuts that even though he gets numbers from the best bottom fisherman in the area you still out shoot him.

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!

There used to be a jewfish on the 60 @ one point.
