Just curious…what color braid do you prefer ? I’ve always used the moss green color in my freshwater fishing, but I see the reds, blues, hi-vis yellows and think, there must be a market for these. Since most people use a flouro leader anyway, do the brighter colors help with strike detection ? Do they spook fish ? Just curious as to what the masses think about this.
Using a leader, I can’t find a difference in green or yellow as far as production, but I can certainly see the yellow and brighter colors way better than I can the greens.
I never worry much about color. As you stated, if I’m throwing a bottom bouncing bait or swimbait, I have a leader on. Topwater will always be straight braid. Most braid I buy is only in moss green anyway. Braid is braid and it all looks like rope underwater. I used to run an Aqua-Vu camera and that stuff stands out.
I prefer the yellow braid simply for visibility. Helps me when I’m fishing multiple lines so I can see where the lines are.
Same thoughts here, i choose more for myself than the sake of the fish seeing it, interested to see if you guys think it affects productivity of fishing so i can change my ways if it does.
Look at where Jesus went to pick people. He didn’t go to the colleges; he got guys off the fishing docks.

2nd this ^^^^
No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.
I always carry one rod with yellow braid, in case I decide to fish for the convict’s. I can see the line better in the shadow’s. Furthermore, I can quickly rig that same outfit, and fish a Carolina rig. Tight lines.
I also don’t get concerned about the color, but do prefer the hi vis yellow primarily because I can see it best. Also have some moss green on some reels, but see no difference as far as hooking fish. I use the same setups in freshwater for bass, no leader most of the time, and no problems.
I tell folks all the time, if they think these fish are smarter than they are, then they will be!
Don’t give them too much credit particularly over something like line color. ( Yes, the fish and some people! )
