Great ocean. Fished in the 400s 350-450’. Not much bait to fish, but lots of birds. Found the blackfins, but we were not well equipped. They were all over us several times. Teasers, dredges, fire drill program. Nice to see. Caught 6 and had 6 more get eaten by jaws. Fun battles on the TLD20s. Lots of bonitas mixed in. A few of those got eaten too. Unfortunately we also caught two jaws. Two wahoo cutoffs and caught two maui wowies. Saw several free floppers and caught two of seven sails. Had a triple on for a minute, but ended up pulling one off and jumping one off. One of the sailing fish was large, we had a 7 foot jaws follow him to the boat, but he decided not to tanle with the grown sail and let it swim away. Very nice of him. Two first billfishes for our lady anglers. We all went for a nice swim in our fine deep water marina.
Sounds Great. Except for all of the jaws. At least tight lines. Hope it holds up for friday. My sniper planer set up is making its debu. The epoxy on the new rod is drying as we speak. It looks sexy with the big vsw on it. Im excited if anyone cant tell.
That’s a nice day CD.I think I heard y’all playin’ graba$$ with the girls around 8pm when I got in.Sounded like one of them got thrown in.I’ll bet her “high beams” were on in 74deg water LOL.
Nice work D. I talked to Thizzle last night, sounds like yall were busy all day. I’m coming in town tonight for Kelly’s mom’s walk. Any word on the good news lady getting a story together for Sauturday?
capt eddie - you are right, their beams were all lit up back at the dock. Not as big, however, as their eyes when I told them that we were going to toss them in right after seeing 4 or 5 grown sharks. There was some quick maneuvering at that point.
Another Great Day, nice to have some more ladies catching the sailing fishes. Too bad we didn’t have the rainbow or lepricon on board, it would have raised some more of the bigger blackfins for sure. Let’s get back out there and test out the new hook methods…

p.s. I’m trying to get my swamp thing on with yall for Alex’s last night of debauchery
