As schoolboy was in need of celebrating his last ringless day, and I thought it would help our longterm prospects of fishing despite “plans” by setting a precedent, we headed out for a halfday bottom mission. Overall, we decided that fishing was much easier than harpooning them from above. Still not sure about spearing them from below. I will leave that to Phin, Rob, and Jason to discuss. We ended up with a 5 man limit of genuines and b-liners, a couple gags, 5 scamps, and a good assortment of other critters. We caught 19 genuine’s in total, all of them better than 18". Also sent 10 short groupers back to the hole to fatten up for the next trip.
Carla Dee, haven’t you read anything that Bolbie and Phin have discussed? Catching that many snappers and groupers is impossible unless you have a speargun. And you expect us to believe that this happened in a half day? I hope you dropped a sandwich and got some mustard on the reel…
nice daniel! you gotta love 70 deg. weather in november. bet it was beautiful out there the past two days. we should put a trip togather with hollywood, AB and ritter some time soon.
glassy - i’ve been trying to get hollywood on the boat all year. he doesn’t approve of anything <50’, so i doubt we can get him to go slumming on the little boat. and yeah, the pretty boys stayed clean as we didn’t have time to get dirty; rehearsal was at 5:30.
that aj was kept for a gentleman that enjoys them. i have eaten plenty and they are great table fare, as long as you weren’t present when they were cleaned and dewormed.
sounds like the sails are still out there. travis caught 5/9 on friday also.

BRAINSTORM
i hear ya. he is a bit jaded… his last trip was to the bahamas for 2 weeks on his buddies new 70+’ sporty. plus he has a new lease in barnwell so you would be hard pressed to get him out of the woods anyway. art told me he went with you not to long ago and said you had a sweet new ride.ill mention it to mr. jaded and see if he is up for it. would love to score so quality bottom dwellers while the price of fuel is reasonable.
