BRAINSTORM 4.19.09

Found a few mauis yesterday. Fished out in the deep and found the warm water. No defined edge, but some scattered weed and some bait. Warmest water we found was 77.5. Ended up with 18 mauis. A few were caught twice after escapes from the box. Caught a lost spotted wahoo in 1500’. Flat calm all day. Most of the mauis were true RS gaffers. Biggest was pushing 30lbs.

Darl told me about the nice ones near the end of the day. Even said he got his hands dirty. He tell you about the next boat? Nice catch.

Well done Daniel! Sounds like a great weekend in the blue. Out of town and missed the flat ocean/early mahi bite, oh well. Keep in touch, maybe an overnighter soon?

Darl seems to awesome be on the fish. He said that he wanted to fish the Megadock with us, so maybe he can pull out some more mojo. Eric, we’re looking at 5/9-5/10 if the weather looks good. Just had the boat hauled today for some shaft seals, bottom paint, etc…
