Slow fishing today. Fished inshore of the 226. Started the day hot with a blue marlin. Jumped him off on the initial run. Next four fish were sailing fish. Caught one of them. Then things slowed down. Saw a few free jumpers. Captured one small dolphin. Missed one more sail in the afternoon. I knew it was slow going when 4 yo Evan asked me when we were going to start fishing. On the ride in we offered assistance to a boat in distress. The Gunsliner was in trouble. They were out of bud sodas. Glad we had spare supplies. I knew something was up when they were going to run a couple miles out of their way to take some photos of the boat. Tried to ambush them with the water cannon to no avail. Hopefully the fishing will heat up again in a few days.
