BRAINSTROM 5/3

nice day on the high seas. started off right with meathooks putting the chum on the board early and often. something about the head sea and the diesel fumes motivated him to produce some quality work… soon the cajun commander started working a slick of his own and we knew that the our chances were looking good… little scottie at the mature age of 6 asked me several astute questions like, why is your friend leaning over the side? why is he green like a ninja turtle? can you get me some more cookies? can i eat that 5th pack of gum? where are the grapes? daniel, can i have my the third PB&J? NO JOKE. long story short, we had 8 contestants on board - 2 lady friends, 1 6 yo and 6 guys. 3 got sick - no lady friends, and no 6yo.

started fishing offshore of the 226 and found the warmer mixed water, TONS of bait, but very few fish. caught a couple wowies and then ran to see what we could stir up. found the mauis pretty good. collected about 20 keepers (scottie angled 2 solo) and then put out the big plastics for the next 6 hours. ended up with 30 keepers - several just shy of 30lbs, named and released quite a few.

the cajun then decided to take celebratory matters into his own hands. after scottie prouldly proclaimed that he caught 2 maui wowies to everyone that could hear him, the cajun let out a war cry and did a belly flop into our fine deep water marina to mark the day.

That’s a good day,Daniel.A lot better than ours.We saw y’all near the 226 and decided to go south instead of north.Big mistake. It was also nice to meet you at the fuel dock and that is a sweet ride you have. Our mutual pal,Joe W,was at his boat at the end of C dock when we left.It is LOL that Mr Tuna Snob Chrome Dome Koonasse blew chunks with his friendgirl aboard.I asked him when they were gonna hitch it up and she heard me.Oh well,I guess that gave them something to talk about on the way home besides Greg’s breakfast exiting his nose.:smiley:

Good fishing is where preparation and opportunity meet.

We wouldn’t want to be out there trying to catch Bonita one day and not be able to immediately chum them to the back of the boat. One of us needs to be ready to entice the little basturds.

And the marina bath was just a dress rehersal for when we hang that big bluefish down there by the fuel dock.

Good seeing you Eddie. The girlefriend never mentioned anything. I guess that means I’m still in the clear…for a while at least…

It was a great day. Ready to get back at em again Monday and Wednesday. Lets go get one of them big swordies…

JF aka “Striker Tips”

Very nice work. Sounds like you got angry at them.

Eddie - good to put a name with a face. I heard your comment too… and immediately felt for greg… perhaps that is why he went for a swim a few moments later…

rob - its great that you are at tolers… glad to see that there are several more boats now. let’s do some fishing soon.

tips - greg said that he was ready to trade in the straight gaff for a dart. perhaps we will have better luck on the grown bumpfish.

jj - we tried to let our aggression out on the sunfish, but there were no basking beauts to be found in the high seas. mauis had to do.
