Looks like the perfect hull for my 50 Yamaha sitting in the garage…

im not to sure, but im pretty sure…

Boats look nice minus the plastic hatches.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

That model isn’t the flats boat. They call that a “flat back.”

The flats boat has hatches in the mold of the cap, and they work well. Adding hatches to a preexisting deck is never easy.

Super excited for them to get this one off of the ground. John even came to Summerville and helped me lift the cap off of mine, he was there to witness it, was very cool. Being able to see the inside helped push them to do it I think.

I agree, the plastic hatches are on the dark blue hull, and its not technically the flats boat, its a lot less expensive boat. The flats boat is the seafoam green, and it has molded in hatches

CaptFritz, UBW builds both one and two piece boats based on the same outer hull shape. The one piece boats are intended as a less expensive way to get into a Bentz-Craft hull. The plastic hatches which are very durable are used to keep costs and price down. The two piece build is fully detailed with guttered hatches, molded non-skid, etc. and costs more. If you make it to the boat show, please stop and say hello. Or, if you’re interested, stop by the shop sometime.

Nice talking to you guys today. The boat looks great…

Thanks for the full koozie. I love it…

Thanks a ton, Leadenwah. We had a great show. Response to the new flats model was strong. And, thanks for all the support you have shown Ulmer Boatworks. The opportunity to document your hull while you had it apart confirmed for us that we were building the new boat to Robert Bentz’s standards (and, better).

Koozie appears to be defective… looks empty? We’ll repair that sometime soon.
