Braved the waters on Memorial Day

I went out with my wife and a couple friends yesterday and my wife ended up catching our first Red in Charleston (I don’t know that I’ve ever caught one). I also built an anchor pin but forgot to get any pictures of it in action, I’ll try to get some next time I go out.

Beautiful way to start the morning.

My wife and her big 30" Red. The biggest fish she has ever caught. It was released, of course, right after the photo op.

My massive catch… Probably the smallest fish I’ve ever caught. We also released this fella. heh.

Nice catch for the wife, and for you too. Also nice hat!

Thanks! It was a lot of fun watching her fight that beast of a fish. Of course, now it just amplifies the obsession to get out there and fish. She called it a “once in a lifetime catch”. I told her that I sure hope it’s not!

You could have left that little guy on as bait! Nice shot of the bridge! Glad to see it closed again ha

Haha. Yes it was good to see it closing again.

I actually started to use it as bait and my wife felt bad for it and told me to let it go. Heh
