Fished Sunday morning. 6:30am to around 11am. Caught more mullet then I could count in the net. Used shrimp and the mullet for bait. Hand a shark rig in with live and cut bait. And to others running free line live mullet and on under a popping cork. Caught a blue fish and had a huge run on my shark rod. Think it was a nice size shark due to my leader was cut clean. Fished the Sullivan’s side. Very nice day weather wise . Which side is better to fish?
nice to hear big sharks are still around. ive caught whiting and baby sharpnose and missed a bigger sharpnose on the IOP side before but also got skunked trying all night for sharks before. never tried the sullys side too much. you freeline a big mullet or finger mullet and what bait did the shark hit out of curiosity?
Shark hit on triple hook rig. One nice size live mullet, one a little smaller, and cut mullet under that. Just incase they were picky.
Looking at my rigs today. Shark took off on live mullet free lined.
