No doubt. We plan on thinning a bunch out after this next full moon, give em a chance to spawn. A couple of these actually looked close. The one thing about Bream in a fed pond, it doesn’t take long to get them grown.

You got me! Yes Harvesting, the little buggers have a tendency to over populate and then you end up with a bunch of stunted ones.

indeed- the same thing has been discussed many times recently in the offshore forum about a different species!

based on your posts, i’m sure you’re not the type to waste anything you take the life of if possible, and i guess me using such a harsh term is a reminder to keep things in perspective and not lose appreciation that i’m the one at the top of the food chain… for now.

nice pile of bream… i look forward to the day when we have a pond my kids will help keep from stunting out! crispy fried combahee fins may be in my immediate future too- i think we sometimes use the same landing out there, maybe one day we’ll see you on the water!

Beatutiful River! Was out there this past weekend, water is up! We had a great Red fish hole before all this rain close to the tea house. No red fish but did get two nice catfish 5lb an 12 lb. Believe it or not we released them. I rarely put in near Yemassee in the Hot weather unless it’s a weekday the Summer Weekend crowd is usually too much for me.

If we keep getting rain through the summer and winter, next year should actually be good for some big red breast in numbers.
